New Orchid Discovered in Yosemite
A new orchid that grows only in Yosemite has been discovered. The Yosemite Bog Orchid (Platantherayosemitensis) is only known to grow in nine sites throughout the park. As the orchid's range is understood currently, it is the only orchid species endemic to the Sierra Nevada of California.
