Lance Armstrong and Amgen Tour Race by WCI
Today's leg of the Amgen Tour of California went right in front of our studio today, and we got to watch some of the best bike racers in the world from where we park our cars everyday. Check out the footage tonight, and watch for us holding up the WCI sign.
This leg of the race began at 11AM in Merced, California...went up into the Sierra Foothills through Mariposa...climbed up the very steep and curvy Road 426 to nearly 4000 feet...and ends down in Clovis, California...spanning over 115 miles. Today's leg was the fourth of eight legs.
With the race occurring after 2 weeks of snow and rain in Oakhurst (it's finally sunny today!), there should be some incredible footage of snow covered mountains forming the backdrop to today's race.
